Responsible for the design, development, communication,
and presentation of technology available to Alumni.
Specific Work:
- Responsible for developing and implementing a vision for
an on-line virtual community for Harvard Business School
Alumni. Specifics include the WWW HBS Alumni Directory,
Lifelong E-Mail forwarding system for 70,000 HBS Alumni,
extranet security login system, e-mail push services, and
other services.
- Educate and empower HBS External Relations departmental
staff in applying new technologies to facilitate and improve
their activities based on HBS Information Technology infrastructure
standards.
- Managed the design, rollout, and support for HBS's Lifelong
E-mail forwarding system for all 66,000+ HBS Alumni.
- Taught Internet seminars to Harvard Business School
Alumni. (formal and informal)
- Coordinate with the HBS Alumni Board technology committee
on the technology requirements of Alumni and developed
plans to meet user requirements. Produce and present
current and future technology to this board on a semi-annual
basis.
- Provide implementation details of current alumni web
services to those Alumni that are currently undertaking
similar web service implementations within their organizations.
- Lead technology coordinator for Harvard Business School's
global alumni conferences. Responsible for managing
and directing the setup and configuration of the conference
technology labs and connections to the Internet. Provided
